On June 8, 2011, TCT migrated their email platform with Google Apps. The following email was sent to all TCT Internet customers following that migration.
Dear TCT Customer,
Hopefully, you have seen our recent notices about upgrading to Google Apps: an integrated suite of communication tools that includes email, calendar, and other applications. Google Apps is an online, cloud-based environment that may be used via a web browser, so there is no software to install or maintain on your PC. The web interface has access to many applications that make your Internet experience more enjoyable.
This letter is to inform you that your email account has been migrated to Google Apps. Your existing messages and folder structure should all be in place very soon, if not already. Any WebMail Address Book entries in your account have been automatically transferred into Google Mail. Your existing Postini Approved Sender and Block Sender email entries have also been automatically transferred into the Postini Message Center. Messages that were previously quarantined as spam in your Postini Message Center had to be deleted as part of the migration. Your existing WebMail interface will be available for two weeks following the migration to ensure that you have access to your existing email. All new mail moving forward will be delivered to your Google Mail account.
Your email address and password will remain the same, and you may continue to use your regular email clients such as Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, Apple Mail, etc. We recommend however, that you make use of the web-based Google Apps interface which is available from: https://login.tctelco.net.
You can find detailed help from http://myonlinehelp.net about how to access Google Mail, how to update your email clients following the migration, or update your smart phone to work with Google Apps. Make sure to use your tctelco.net email address whenever you are asked to enter your email address (the sample instructions show gmail.com email addresses), and enter gmail.com server names whenever you are asked to enter server names.
You may receive additional emails that contain information about setting up forwarders, as we are unable to automatically transfer these items to Google Apps. As always, our Technical Support team is available to assist you, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by dialing 800-848-0662.
We hope that you find Google Apps to be an improvement to your Internet experience.
Sincerely,
Tri-County Telephone Customer Service
